Emerald Evergreens: The Cascade Republic

I decided it might help my motivation for doing stuff for this timeline by making a thread for it. All previous entries in the timeline are here.

And the first entry here will be a transit map.

The Skagit Transit is a public transportation system that covers most of Skagit and parts of Island County. The lines also connect with Whatcom county and Snohomish county's Public Transport systems.

All lines are based out of Burlington. Intercity routes also exist, but aren't shown on this map. The bus lines are:
Orange: To Bellingham
Red: Skagit River Line
Green: Upriver Line
Teal: Lake Line
Maroon: Back Line
Purple: To Stanwood
Dark Blue: Seaside Line
Light Blue: Anacortes Line
Yellow: Island Line

Inspired by @lord caedus and their "X-in-Canada" series, I thought, "Why not make a Cascadian one?" And then I remembered that I would have to define a lot more for an "X-in-Cascadia" to make sense. So instead, here is the most current election in the Cascade Republic...

The 2018 Presidential Election was not a huge shocker for many in the Cascade Republic. Dino Rossi of the Cascadian Conservative Coalition was hugely popular with a majority of the nation. While television producer Matt Goerning, of the Social Democracy Party, put up a fight using both the popularity of his television series "Life in Hell" and having former Councilman William Gates on the ticket, he still lost by 10%. The biggest winner was Sarah Heath of the Pioneer Party, a fiscally liberal and socially conservative/pro-miners and lumberers party. They claim to be for the little guy in the large international world and is a very Ameriskeptic party.

Oregon is missing its most liberal areas, including Portland, that's why it doesn't swing. And since I'm here I might as well post another infobox.

Russian Cascadians are Cascadians who can trace their ancestry to Russia. A large majority of came to the Cascade Republic during the Russian Revolution where they fled the regime. Over the past 100 years since then, a new Cascadian dialect of Russia has been created. The mostly vote for the Social Democracy Party during presidential elections and for the Socialist Party in legislative elections.
Part of an expansion on the universe of this infobox.

The Deseret Alphabet is native to the Utah region of California. [snip] While it has slowly fallen out of disuse over time, most road signs in the Utah and Nevada Provinces are still written with the alphabet and it is still taught in schools, mostly around Salt Lake City.

Major Political Parties in the Cascade Republic
Government:
Cascadian Conservative Coalition - Ideology: socially conservative, fiscally conservative, big government, pro-Americanism. Summary: The current ruling party of the Cascade Republic. Has recent gained popularity due to the successful presidency of Dino Rossi.
Pioneer Party - Ideology: fiscally liberal, socially conservative, pro-miners and lumberers, small government, Ameriskepticism. Summary: A party for the little folk, mostly miners and lumberers. The closest thing to a Libertarian party in Cascadia.
Opposition:
Social Democracy Party - Ideology: socially liberal, social democracy, pro-Americanism. Summary: A party that could collapse soon. The socialists are gaining more of the vote share while the more conservative voters of the SDP have switched to the CCC. The SDP leadership is trying to hold things together, but at this rate it will probably be split by 2020.

Minor Political Parties in the Cascade Republic
Government:
Populist Party - Ideology: Christian Democracy, Theodemocracy. Summary: Mostly contained within the state of Champoeg. Called the Mormon party by many in the nation, but does gain some votes from the Evangelical Christians. Usually votes for the Pioneer Party in Presidential Elections.
Opposition:
Socialist Party - Ideology: social democracy, democratic socialism, agrarian socialism, Ameriskepticism, pro-Americanism. Summary: A deeply divided party due to the present of both pro-Americanist, mostly lower and middle class workers, and Ameriskeptics, mostly made up from non-American and British decedents of Cascadia, specifically Russians, Japanese, Koreans, and Native Cascadians. Usually votes for the Social Democracy Party in Presidential Elections.

[1] The longest serving president of the Cascade Republic. The "Scoop Regime" would last for thirty years. Many feared he would be president forever, however, the unthinkable happened...
[2] President Henry "Scoop" Jackson died of old age.
[3] Those who had their ideologies oppressed by the regime came out in full force to duke it out in the election of the century.
[4] The left-wing of politics created a fusion ticket, term limits are established (no more than 2 terms of 6 years), and the President and Prime Minister can no longer be from the same state.
[5] That lead to the unification of the left fully, with the moderates in the SDP to leave and vote for the CCC while the farther right elements left to form the Pioneer Party.
[6] Which did surprisingly well! They would still lose the election to the well-liked SDP. However, the Locke Administration had the major issue of a large scale natural disaster and with a less than well received response, the CCC were ready to take back the country.
