DBWI: Mosley never becomes PM

I was reading a book about the history of British Politics the other day and a thought came to me. As you know, all parties have their defining PMs. The Tories have Thatcher, the Liberals have Powell, but for Labour, some say Blair, while others will vouch for Mosley, the man who won WWII.

However, let's say, for some reason, Mosley doesn't win in 1935. Who would have been PM when Hitler tried to invade Czechoslovakia? Would he have called Hitler's bluff and declared war? Or would we have had one of those appeasers that Minister for War Churchill was so critical of?

Of course, what's also needed is a POD. Suppose Mosley leaves the Labour Party for some reason? And would the battle of Cable Street, which descended into a brawl between William Joyce's blueshirts and the CPGB (both of whom, amusingly, had gone to attack Mosley as he was making a speech there) have gone differently?

OOC: Let it be made clear that I am no fan of fascism, and I hold it in contempt.
