Cut the Dzungarian Gate

Suppose, that, in 1000 BC, the Dzungarian gate is cut by say, a mountain collapse or something. Clearing it out is unfeasible. What are the consequences on world history?

It would have to be a pretty epic mountain collapse. It's 10 KM wide at its narrowest point.

If it didn't exist it would certainly tend to curtail or reroute major nomadic movements. That would have a cascade of fluttering effects.

Thats a collapse of titanic proportions.

With out the pass its harder for eastern nomads to move west but is wont be impossible.

If you start from 1000 BC history would be radically different.
