The easiest way is to have no revolution in Cuba. No revolution = no Castro= no Cuban crisis.
Why not have Castro welcomed by the US?

So if he gets a meeting with Eisenhower Cuba could be a liberal democracy and Fidel could be a hero in the US...
Sink the Granma. Remove that one little ship and the 82 men aboard, and you not only tear the charismatic heart out of the Cuban revolution, but massively stunt the growth of communist movements throughout South America with the death of Che Guevara.

There's no Cuban Crisis in my timeline (see my signature below). That's because Castro petitions for Cuba to become a state.

Or you could have Batista meekly accept that the Cuban Constitution only allowed him two turns and so not become a dictator so that Castro was just another Cuban President for his two terms.
