Premier League title race, Ray is cooking
February 26, 2005: Tracking the Premier League Title Race: Matchday 28

Currently, three clubs are competing for the title in the Premier League, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

1. Arsenal: 73 points
2. Liverpool: 71 points
3. Manchester United: 70 points

We begin Matchday 28 with the Liverpool match, as they meet Leicester City at Anfield. The home crowd turns out to be a huge aid to the Reds, as they crush the Foxes, 4-1, behind two Michael Owen goals. Next up, it’s Manchester United, who travel to the south coast to play Southampton. Despite controlling possession through the majority of the game, they don’t get their goal until the 87th minute, where Paul Scholes slots home what turned out to be the winner.

February 27, 2005: Arsenal had to wait until the next day to play their match, and they would face off with fellow London side Fulham. This game would be an Arsenal masterclass from start to finish, with Thierry Henry collecting a hat-trick. At the final whistle, Arsenal would be confirmed as 8-1 victors.

February 27, 2005: Ray Allen goes off against the Golden State Warriors, scoring 48 points and grabbing 9 rebounds in a 99-79 SuperSonics win. Allen is hoping to grab the MVP award this season.

February 28, 2005: On the second night of a back-to-back, Allen again goes off, toasting the Phoenix Suns for 53 points, as the Sonics win the game in overtime, 106-104.

Note: March Madness is coming up, anybody want to do the first round?
