Glad you're here! I personally really love this infobox and think it's hilarious, but there's kind of an embargo on current politics in this thread recently so you may want to try to avoid current politics in the future.
ok. Thanks for letting me know!

Tamila Shamilevna Kadyrova (7 November 2518 – 13 December 2578) was the last Kadyrovid President of the Chechen Republic as well as one of the few female rulers of Chechnya. As the daughter of prominent clan member and President of the Chechen Republic, Shamil Kadyrov, Tamila was raised in the conservative traditions of the Chechen culture in regards to women. However, she very often ended up getting caught up in battles between the Kadyrov family, the Chechen Army, and damnable foes like Shiite Azerbaijanis, Christian Ossetians and Georgians, Niyazid Turkmens, Dagestanis, Russians, other Chechens... As such, Shamil often taught Tamila to keep a grenade and a knife in her pockets, and Fariza, Tamila's mother and a former typographer, taught her everything she knew and gave her faith in herself.

Not to say that the Kadyrov clan did not have its problems. The ancient clan grew increasingly smaller and smaller, possibly due to increasing sterility and birth defects as a result of incest and various diseases, as well as sudden deaths. The ancient clan grew increasingly distrustful of each other, ever since Shadid Kadyrov challenged his cousin, Lamberd "Amirkhan" Kadyrov, after the death of the latter's older brother and President apparent, Abdulmuslim Kadyrov. All this resulted into smaller, younger clans being progressively slicker and more powerful than the Kadyrovs themselves.

As such, Shamil Kadyrov organized the assassination of his uncle, Sayid Kadyrov, for negotiating with the Idrisov family to kill Shamil and put himself on the throne. In 2551, Shamil himself was killed by Sayid's son Salambek and his militia, leaving his children to inherit the throne. There was one problem, however.

Tamila was Shamil's only living child.

As she felt that it was her obligation, she became the President of the Chechen Republic, enraging more than a few people. Good thing the Kadyrovtsy were loyal and Tamila herself knew how to fight.

While a woman of fairly conservative views, Tamila was aware of the treatment women got from Chechen men and instituted numerous reforms in regards to human rights. She was perfectly aware that she was surrounded by enemies, important and religious Chechens who did not like her attitude and politics, but she was ready to fight. Eventually Tamila would marry Aslambek Malikov, a simple washerman owning a wash and a small farm. However, Tamila could not bear children.

As a result, Tamila Kadyrova lived for 59 years and died of natural causes, but didn't leave a successor, and even her husband died after catching a disease. Tamila would be succeeded by Aslambek's younger brother, Rashid, starting the Malikov Era of Chechnya's history.

Frederick Christ "Fred" Trump was an American businessman, banker, and politician who served as the 40th President of the United States. He previously served as the first Secretary of the Treasury under President Richard Nixon, before resigning to seek a successful run for Governor of New York.

Trump and his mother, Elizabeth Christ Trump, lost Trump's father, Frederick, when Trump was 13 years old. By 15, in partnership with his mother and non-family investors, Trump had begun a career in home construction and sales. The development company was incorporated as E. Trump & Son in 1927, and grew to build and manage single-family houses in Queens, barracks and garden apartments for U.S. Navy personnel near major shipyards along the East Coast, and more than 27,000 apartments in New York City. In the post-war years, Trump established the Trump Banking Company, which quickly expanded under his leadership. The Trump Banking Co. was given to his brother John after Trump resigned after being appointed Secretary of the Treasury under President Nixon, and the Trump Banking Co. fell into bankruptcy and folded two years after his son Donald assumed the leadership in 1973.

After serving as Treasury Secretary for little over a year, Trump resigned in order to seek the office of Governor of New York. He defeated incumbent Governor Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr. by a narrow margin, and he went on to serve until 1972. As Governor, Trump expanded on a program to create jobs throughout the state, a program that grew popular with his state. Trump sought the Republican nomination for President in 1972, and after selecting Ohio Governor John Ashbrook as his running mate, he defeated Vice President George Smathers in the general election.

As President, Trump focused on a domestic program similar to the one he had popularly run as Governor. However, Trump's presidency was shaken by the Sino-Soviet War, which saw the use of tactical nuclear weapons on both sides. President Trump sought to work out a peace deal between the Soviets and the Chinese, however, his attempts were unsuccessful. President Trump grew unpopular as further attempts at ending the Sino-Soviet War deteriorated, and Trump opted not to run for re-election. The Republican Party nominated General Curtis LeMay who infamously suggested joining the war on the side of the Soviets. Trump spoke out against his party's nominee, stating "General LeMay's election would result in a worldwide nuclear war that could devastate the planet". LeMay was eventually defeated by California Governor Jerry Brown.

In his post-presidency, Trump spoke out against the use of nuclear weapons. He appeared at the anti-nuclear summit in Brussels, Belgium, and became a popular anti-nuclear activist. Trump died of a cerebral hemorrhage in London after attending a conference on nuclear energy in 1991.

The Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota is the Queen's viceregal representative in that province and is charged with carrying out the Queen's constitutional and ceremonial duties there, including dissolving the Legislative Assembly for elections, opening new sessions and appointing the Premier. The position is equal to the viceregal representatives of Canada's 11 other provinces and territories and is formally appointed by the Governor General on the advice of the prime minister. Lieutenant Governors have no formal term length, but an informally it is expected that they serve for around five years before being replaced. The current Lieutenant Governor is Brad Hewitt, a former insurance executive picked by Governor General David Johnston on the advice of current prime minister Stephen Harper in 2014.

Amy Klobuchar is the current Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and a Liberal member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Minneapolis North. Before being elected in the 2006 general election, Klobuchar was a crown prosecutor in Hennepin County (Minnesota's most populous subdivision, which contains the city of Minneapolis). Klobuchar served in both the Ignatieff shadow cabinet as well as in the Liberal frontbench team under both provisional leader Bob Rae and Justin Trudeau before the 2015 election. In her term as Minister of Justice, Klobuchar has overseen the nationwide legalization of recreational marijuana for adults, although she has come under criticism from civil liberties groups for her ministry's positions on cyber-security issues.

The namesake of Hibbing, Minnesota native Bob Dylan (born Robert Zimmerman)'s album Highway 61 Revisited, Minnesota Highway 61 is the most-traveled section of the Trans-Canada Highway system to pass through Minnesota, as well as the longest highway in that province at 442 miles long. Picking up for Manitoba Highway 59 at the provincial border near Lancaster, the highway proceeds south and east towards Duluth, before following the north shore of Lake Superior to the Ontario border at Grand Portage. The North Shore portion of the highway, although the most rugged terrain-wise, is part of the Lake Superior Circle Tour for the beautiful scenery and is a large reason for the popularity of the route compared to alternatives.

Minnesota's provincial order, the Order of Minnesota was created in 1987 by the government of Premier Clark MacGregor to honor Minnesotans who "achieve[d] excellence in a given field that further[ed] the well-being of Minnesota and its residents". Open to all current and former long-term Minnesota residents outside of current elected officials, membership in the order is the highest provincial honor that can be bestowed on a Minnesotan. The Lieutenant Governor (currently Brad Hewitt) is the ex officio chancellor of the order and formally inducts new members, usually from a list of those recommended by the provincial cabinet. Members of the order are entitled to use the post-nominal letters OMN. The order does not accept posthumous inductions, although several different provincial legislators have mooted making an exception for former prime minister Hubert Humphrey, who died before the order was created.

The Legislative Council of Minnesota was the first territory-wide body, created in 1849 as a governing council. Following the creation of the Legislative Assembly in 1858 and assumption of responsible government, its functions were changed to that of an advisory body similar to the British House of Lords. Following Confederation and the creation of both the Liberal and Conservative (later Progressive Conservative) parties, the importance of the Legislative Council diminished, especially as the dominant Conservative/Progressive Conservatives packed that body, turning it into an effective rubber-stamp until their loss in 1897. The Liberal government of John Lind was only slightly stymied by the Council's Progressive Conservative majority and soon popular opinion turned towards abolishing the body, citing its ineffectiveness and cost to Minnesota taxpayers. Unsurprisingly, the members of the Council voted down any bills to abolish that body, until Premier James Gray's government created of a pension fund for any councilor willing to resign just before the 1911 election. Enough vacancies were caused by elderly councilors opting to retire that his successor Adolf Olson Eberhart was able to appoint a "suicide squad" that persuaded wavering holdouts to vote for abolition in July 1912. The chambers formerly used for the Legislative Council today are used for various Legislative Assembly committee meetings.

Part of the early-2000s impulse for electoral reform, the Minnesota electoral reform referendum was proposed by the Liberal government of Mike Hatch to ask Minnesotans if they would like to switch to a ranked-choice (or instant runoff) voting system for provincial elections. Unlike other referendums in other provinces, there was no option for a proportional electoral system, despite the wishes of the Minnesota Party, who had pushed for the adoption of a single-transferable voting system that would allow them to be better represented in the Legislative Assembly. The push towards ranked-choice voting was hurt by several factors, including the hostility of both the Progressive Conservative and Minnesota parties to ranked-choice voting, its association with the unpopular Hatch government and the weakness of the "Yes" campaign to push its message expounding the benefits of ranked-choice voting to a skeptical populace. Unsurprisingly, Minnesota voters rejected the proposal with 58% voting "no" on the same day that the Liberals were ousted from power, with only five counties voting in favor of retaining first-past-the-post.

God damn this is some awesome stuff. So enjoyable to read.

The Canadian presidential election of 2019 was the first quintennial presidential election in Canada. Held on October 21, 2019, alongside House of Commons and Senate elections. It was conducted under the republican 2017 Constitution, which established a "transitional period" for the term of the 42nd Parliament, during which the incumbent Governor General, David Johnston, would be sworn in as President and the constitutional conventions regarding the exercise of the executive and legislative powers would be continued. In the election, Conservative Michael Chong was elected with 59% of the vote, defeating the then-incumbent Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and his running mate, Andrew Scheer, became vice-president.

Despite pre-election commitments by the Bloc Quebecois to field no candidate, all five major political parties have eventually nominated candidates in the election, and all have nominated their party leaders, except the New Democratic Party, which advocated for a return to a Parliamentary System from the Semi-Presidential one set out in the Constitution (though not for undoing its repatterning after the German system).

Oh my, the territories have become provinces?

Love this series. Minnesota is so Canadian it works perfectly. Look forward to more.

True story: the few times I've been to Canada (Ontario), the only things that reminded me that I was in a different country were the different flags and occasional sign in both English and French.

>ranked choice voting referendum failing.

:(

Just fitting in with the trend (see: Ontario and British Columbia's failures to change their voting system around this time OTL)...and also because I already established Minnesota to use FPTP for its elections in 2014 & 2018.

God damn this is some awesome stuff. So enjoyable to read.

More high praise from my ATL compatriot. You might be enjoyed to know that historically, the Conservatives/Progressive Conservatives have dominated Minnesota provincial politics, winning 28 out of the 42 elections between 1867 and 2018.

And we were doing so good, too. I thought CalBear slapped a moratorium this stuff?

I think his objections were more because people kept bringing current politics into discussions of those infoboxes. Which is effectively a moratorium because people have proven unwilling to listen when told to stop unless threatened with locking the thread.

The Kingdom of Morrowind had long been dominated by the Great Houses, with them controlling almost all aspects of the Province's economy, religion, and government. During the War of the First Council, the Great Houses seized direct control of the government and instated the Great Council, which was composed of chosen councilors of the Great Houses. Membership in one of the five political wings of the Houses were made mandatory, and jobs were limited for those who refused to partake in the process.

The Five Parties are: House Indoril, the ruling corporation is centered around manufacturing producing everything from 18-Wheelers and Steel Beams to knives and Forks. Like all parties in Morrowind, the Indorils are purely corporatistic, in favor of the current plutocracy, and are the biggest critics of the Tamrielic Union, spearheading the campaign to withdraw Morrowind from it. House Redoran is an Aerospace and Private Military corporation, focusing on Security for banks, companies such as the East Empire Trading Co. and the Tribunal Temple themselves. They are themselves neutral on the TU, advocating for remaining in the Common Market, but maintaining contingencies for its failure. House Telvanni runs a good deal of Tamriel's accounting and bookkeeping, and owns Red Mountain Computers, the main competitors to Greybeard and the Aldmeri CLL company. The Telvanni are in favor of further regulating the economy from the Tribunal, including funding for a vast Supercomputer: L.O.R.K.H.A.N. House Dres runs a trading empire that directly Competes with the EEC, and is tainted by its history of Slave Trading, a practice it has only discontinued disconcertingly recently. The Dres Party has fallen on hard times, with the Argonian Liberation Front targeting a good deal of its operations in its domain. The Dres were some of the biggest proponents of the Tamrielic Union, and with its fall from popularity in Morrowind, Dres has followed suit. And finally House Hlaalu, who run one of the largest financial services empire, the largest outside of Cyrodiil, and has played a part in funding most major wars in some way or another since its foundation. Hlaalu's enthusiastic patronage of the TU has caused them to follow the Dres on the coattails of the TU's unpopularity.

Political parties as literal appendages of corporations is an interesting concept, even without the Elder Scrolls elements.
