Those stabilizer-mounted turrets have a pretty restricted field of fire, don't they?
Yeah I was going to go back and erase one but it was late and I was tired.
Say, what do you think the logical evolution of the Me P.1101 would be? We can either have the Reich win the war or the war not happen, doesn't really matter.
Do you think the evolved models would look closer to a Sabre or a Mig-15?
Or something different like the Tunnan, Pulqui II or Bell X 5?

I think a cross between the Sabre and the Mig-15 because both planes to me look like they were influenced by the P.1101's design.
The one plane that could make a Fairey Swordfish look beautiful. Congratulations.
Why would you not want an enclosed cockpit? The B17 flew at freezing hights.

Here are a pair of images with 2 and 4 tandem engine nascells in the upper wing, so instead of 6 forward engines, we can have a choice of 4 forward and 4 back, or two forward and two back..
Similar to the B19 Havoc posted on your VHB17 thread except mine isn't a bi-plane.
There's also this design I found on the interwebby a few years back.
