red represents anglos
blue represents the french
the white represents unity and peace
the coat of arms represents Canada
the union jack symbolises the nation's commonwealth ties and British heritage
thoughts?

I'm not sure that background design really goes well with a Union Jack in the canton.

Personally, I would ditch it and move the coat of arms to the centre.

Or at least use the same blue from in the Union Jack and crest. The two blues clash pretty hard.
