I've contributed a couple of short stories to another anthology publisher who suddenly delayed their releases (by almost a year) and has only recently posted on their website why it may be related.

Essentially the way Amazon has changed things via Kindle Unlimited has upset how royalties are paid. they pay by pages read rather than books sold, so a lot of small presses a probably holding off on publishing until they see what happens as I'm sure this makes it a major headache to pay out for anthologies. (Since I doubt Amazon tells them exactly what pages were read and even then it would be a headache to only pay the authors of the stories whose pages were read)
