Alexander survives

What would happen to the Russian Empire if Alexander the Second survived his assassination attempt in 1881? Would reform continue and in what way?

I think the Tsar-Liberator would still have continued with his reforms, but the big question is would he be willing to grant the Russian people a constitution. That's always been the sticking point about Tsarist Russia, it was an autocracy (Tsar/Tsarina had absolute power). Even when his grandson Nicholas II issued the October Manifesto creating the Duma, Russia was still largely an autocracy.
