AHC/WI: Serenissima Decisive Victory at Vittorio Veneto

Your challenge is as follows:

- Make the Republic of Venice win a decisive victory in a land-battle at Vittorio Veneto (or at least, near Vittorio, the important is the battle have "Vittorio Veneto" in the name)
- The commander of the venetian army have to be of venetian blood!!!!!!
- The enemy have to be in a considerably advantage/be a great power, to make the battle be a symbol of venetian patriotism/regionalism/nationalism
- You have to describe the aftermath of the battle in the vision of Venice, more wank the better

Bonus points if the victory is in an big european war ;)

Also, the first name was only given in 1866. It was a unification of two communes in Veneto, Cèneda and Serravalle, and was only named as such after Victor Emanuel II (specifically his first name, Vittorio in Italian).

I feel like the only way you could pass this challenge first of all, have a famous doge whose first name is Vittorio, maybe have him win that famous battle, and the towns inland would be named after him and his famous victory.

It could but it would probably get “Venesian” (or similar) as second name.

Not really a popular name among Venetians or at least among the Dogi.
