Only thing I can think of is if the Turkish-Italian war went differently, but would the world be ok with italy taking Istanbul from turkey?
The opposite sure as hell not gonna happen.

So the requirement is that the Italians do it? Is it possible for Austria, or Austria-Hungary to do it?
Having various wars go even worse for the Ottomans, I could see Christendom taking and holding Constantinople. Then massive arguments erupt between Britain, France, AH and Russia over who gets the Holy City.
Finally, in a diplomatic kludge, a Patriarchal State consisting of Rome, Constantinople, and possible Jerusalem, Antioch and/or Alexandria is formed, under the protection of all the Great Powers, ruled by a council appointed by the respective Patriarchs.
Implausible as all getout, but not QUITE ASB, imo.
With a PoD that late, the only possible plausible rulers of Rome are the Pope and Italy. And no way will Italy get Constantinople. So that leaves the Pope. Of course getting the RC Pope to play nicely with the Orthodox Patriarchs would require a LOT of pressure. That Patriarchal State/Union would probably be unified only on paper....

Greece takes Istanbul with the aid of Britain and Russia. Britain is helping because they don't want the russians owning Constantinople, the Russians are hoping they can take Constantinople and some regions in the Causas. Greece in end of the war gets Constantinople, then it unites with Italy via marriage

Ummm... These countries are both specifically formed as NATION states. No way are they going to merge. Could they have a union crowns? Maybe. But, like Hannover and Britain, it wouldn't be a union of countries.
Maybe cheating, but... Italy stays neutral in WWII. She profits of the general mess to invade and basically incorporate Greece with everyone too busy to object much. WWII approaches end with the Nazis & friends being curbstomped between the Soviets and the Anglos roughly OTL-like. Something happens in Turkey that threatens to turn the place Communist. With the blessings of the West, Italy (now styled "Third Roman Empire" or whatever) takes over the Straits and, after a big deal of diplomatic bickering, gets away with keeping them as considered the lesser evil by both sides of the incoming Cold War.
