AHC: President Charles Lindbergh in 1940

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to get Charles Lindbergh elected as President of the United States in 1940. You can do this any way your brain can concoct but you must have had Franklin Roosevelt elected President in 1936 and not get assassinated (so you can't do the classic Garner Presidency cliche). Bonus points if the Presidency is the first political office Lindbergh seeks but this is not a requirement.

Any takers? We could also discuss how well Lindbergh would win and who his running mate would be. I would think Taft since he can make up for Lindbergh's lack of experience in politics while also having similar views.
