AH Challenge: Make The Federalist Party stay strong, live, and be act like the GOP.

We know that The Federalist Party in the US fell in the early 1800s, and The Whigs replaced them. With a POD no earlier than 1816, make The Federalists strong enough to live on and be a major party, in up to present-day. It must progress the same as The OTL GOP, but can have different Presidential Candidates. The DEM Party must not be changed, however. (except for Presidential candidates.)

A similiar thing happens in my TL "A 19th Century Clinton" however with an earlier POD.

If you want a POD after 1816, it's gonna be pretty implausible IMO. The Federalist Party was pretty much dead after the Hartford Convention which threatened the secession of New England during the War of 1812.

The only way the Federalist party's going to have a shot at surviving is if the War of 1812 doesn't happen.
