1930 Weimar German Election

Well so who would you vote for? Keep in mind most parties at the bottom were pretty minor. I'd vote for the Social Democrats just to keep the Nazis out.

Well, I'd probably have gone Zentrum for sectarian reasons. Of course, today I'd still vote Zentrum for the exact same reasons.

Hmm. I'm a strong Protestant, but I ended up voting Zentrum based on today's knowledge because of its social/economic platform. I might do the same thing back then... but I don't know what living through the Great Depression as accentuated by the Versailles Diktat would've done to my economic beliefs. Maybe I would've gone Socialist back then, but I don't really think so... Were there any other economically conservative parties besides the Nazis (sort of) and Zentrum?

The DNVP (but they ended up allying with the Nazis) and the Liberal parties (but they were fairly small).

Well, today I usually vote for Germany's so-called Liberal Party FDP despite knowing that it actually isn't there any more as what I would consider a decent liberal party.

So, I would probably do the same in 1930. DStP.

I have voted Nazi, because I feel badly treated at Versailles, badly hit by the Depression, believe they will bring Germany's former glory back and I am quite ignorant as to what evil bastards they actually are.
