  1. When did the Roman Empire become Byzantine?

The rulers definately considered themselves to be successors to Augustus. They never considered themselves to be descendents of Pericles and Alexander (Although some rulers thought they were Alexander reincarnated)
  2. World War III starts in 1945

I apologize if I offended you. It's just a running meme I have going on.
  3. what if Cold Harbor Brock the Union Forces

Never been good at the ACW, although Sherman's March to the sea gives me a warm and fuzzy. My writing isn't that good.
  4. Favourite "Total War" game?

After playing EB, I couldn't go back to Vanilla.
  5. what if Cold Harbor Brock the Union Forces

I made a similar joke in a thread about the Trent War. I made ridiculous borders, and I think you were the one who ripped into me. I swear I did it for the lulz, and I was trying to mock Neo-Confeds.
  6. what if Cold Harbor Brock the Union Forces

He was being sarcastic, in response to this:
  7. Favourite "Total War" game?

Except it is a bloody pain in the ass to mod. Over at TWCenter, they have a petition going around asking CA to make their games mod-friendly again. My beef with "Vanilla" Total War games is their complete inaccuracy.
  8. World War III starts in 1945

As usual, Calbear wins the thread:D
  9. Starship Troopers Anime OAV-Type Thing

    I prefer this version: http://www.youtube.com/user/hishedotcom?blend=1&ob=4#p/a/u/2/kXraSkgssFk
  10. Starship Troopers Anime OAV-Type Thing

    Avatar *cough* *cough*
  11. Starship Troopers Anime OAV-Type Thing

It's a good thing they avoided the evil politics of the book written by that evil militarist Heinlein.
  12. Alternate Weapons of War thread...

It's hardly unreasonable to assume that they would buy the dress uniforms THEMSELVES, like people do in modern militaries. Officers don't usually get subsidies to buy uniforms. Yet they have no problem buying the Uniforms they are required to wear. Have any idea how much Marine Full Dress...
  13. Favourite "Total War" game?

In that case, Napoleon is NOT screwed for mods. Making a new map is supposed to be much harder with the new file system, but isn't impossible. (Although I'd much rather mod Empire) But as has been said before, why put anything other than Europe in a Napoleon game?
  14. Overlooked clichés

Is there some kind of reason you always say Town Destroyer instead of using his proper name? I don't know any full-blooded Iroquois who use that name.
  15. Isaac's Empire

With firearms in service as long as they have been ITTL, I'd say cavalry are not an arm of decision.
  16. Favourite "Total War" game?

Empire is completely flawed. France is one province, and the UK is three. That's completely unbalanced.
  17. Life Goes On: A Modern Dystopia

Most people, including myself, aren't. Patterson's speech would actually work if you expanded it though, IMO.
  18. Life Goes On: A Modern Dystopia

No offense, but the dialogue sounds very forced.
  19. Favourite "Total War" game?

Medieval 2 has the best modding potential, but I've yet to be satisfied by a historical mod. Rome has the best mods for the game, bar none.
  20. Map Thread VI

Well, I figured since you have absorbed Austria and Sudeten, that not having A-L keeps you from "rounding it out".
