  1. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

Looks like the Japanese offensive is a few months behind OTL. But the US will still need time to build up oilers and the rest of the supply train to project towards the home islands. I wonder if less Japanese progress means Wasp stays in the Atlantic?
  2. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

Did McArthur's fuel reserves get captured like OTL?
  3. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

With a front in Greece, would the allies invade Italy or just build up for Overlord after Sicily?
  4. Malaya What If

Now if the timing works out, some US officials could be sternly lecturing their British counterparts for violating Thai neutrality, just as the messenger walks in the room to tell them about the attack on Pearl…..
  5. What if Union won Chickamauga?

I concur that it's very hard to achieve a Union victory just by keeping Wood in position. You would get a much more orderly fallback to the Snodgrass position, especially if Hood still falls. Hood's wounding caused a critical delay, so if that butterflies, the battle may wind up about the same...
  6. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

Pilots that should be able to adapt to a Hurricane pretty quickly.
  7. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

If this leads to no Vichy and direct occupation of all France in 1940, will Germany try harder to pull Spain into the fight? If so, there will be no balancing act between Spanish desires and keeping Vichy compliant.
  8. REDUX: Place In The Sun: What If Italy Joined The Central Powers?

I enjoy it as a narrative. A lot of naval battles here get described in precise wargamed detail. Yours focused more on the emotions and motivations of the participants. I enjoyed that.
  9. When Did JFK's Infidelities Become Public Knowledge?

After Ike's death, his driver said the two had a one night stand during WW2. Unverifiable and nowhere near the same scale as other presidential affairs.
  10. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

So Pennsylvania might be the part of the first and last attacks on US battleships.
  11. WI: Ranger was lost in 1934?

What aboutfire that guts the hanger before getting extinguished? Would Ranger get rebuilt or send to reserve with her tonnage used for larger carriers with better AV Gas facilities and procedures implemented?
  12. December 7, 1941. The Day Japan Attacked the Panama Canal

Now when the movie comes out in 1942 will John Wayne be captain of the Trenton? What actor plays the SOC pilot single handedly holding off an entire squadron of Japanese planes? How will they write in a romantic interest back at the canal?
  13. A Man Is Finished When He Quits - The Early Presidency of Richard M. Nixon

So sacking Von Braun leads to a more military minded NASA? I can see Gemini being the primary program focus on MOL and Big Gemini being pursued instead of Apollo, eventually leading to Dyna-Soar.
  14. December 7, 1941. The Day Japan Attacked the Panama Canal

Do photos taken with all the gates open look more impressive? There may be a tendency for those photos to be more common than expected because official photos were more likely scheduled when they knew it would look “cooler”.
  15. December 7, 1941. The Day Japan Attacked the Panama Canal

Love the use of a first day janitor as the POV.
  16. December 7, 1941. The Day Japan Attacked the Panama Canal

I’m sure that built some resentment.
  17. December 7, 1941. The Day Japan Attacked the Panama Canal

And I imagine the Mavis will have some gaps in it's firing arcs, particularly from underneath.
  18. December 7, 1941. The Day Japan Attacked the Panama Canal

Even if the attack fails, the US will react by stationing forces in the Canal Zone that OTL were assigned to other hot zones.
  19. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

Not too many years ago, here in Richmond, VA, we had an artifact hunter blow himself and his house apart trying to defuse a ACW naval shell he had unearthed along the James.
  20. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

I can see why Geneva Convention has to be an outright ban. Too much gray area to abuse between property trained and equipped POW teams clearing mines for preferential treatment and “Walk 50 feet ahead of me or I shoot”
