  1. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Paradox games generally end at a point at which the devs feel the game's mechanics fail to approximate the political realities of the period. It's all rather loose of course, and the Renaissance would have been butterflied away as well, but I'm guessing they didn't want the game to run on after...

Because I spent too much time playing Fallout recently. DON'T LOOK AT TREVELYAN'S FACE Modelled by Knight-Lieutenant Ser Maxwell Trevelyan, the winter variant for officers' service dress consists of a heavy woolen greatcoat worn over the regular uniform (in milder conditions, the jacket...
  3. Map Thread XIII

Thanks! It's actually one of the first maps I made, and probably the first in two years or so. Most of the work was tracing the topographical map that came with DA:O for the coastlines and rivers. Then I simply added the cities, national borders (without overlap) and the rest was fairly trivial...
  4. Map Thread XIII

Just a little thing I cooked up. My hand hurts. This is set in my Dragon Age modern AU, mostly to help me contextualise the geopolitics involved in my fanfic. Most things should be self-explanatory. Some notes: the Starkhaven Accord is an alliance between the Free Marches city states to...

Good point, fixed. That is, replaced it with links to the dA versions.

Pardon the double post, here's one more from the same Dragon Age AU: http://firelord-zuko.deviantart.com/art/Grand-Inquisitor-Hawke-542947537 Basically, the dress / service uniform of the reborn Inquisition in my modern AU, modelled here by Grand Inquisitor Her Worship The Herald of Andraste...
  7. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Come to think of it, there were Cathar religious leaders who were proponents of lifting the incest taboo, and open love in general. I seem to recall there being homosexual marriage in certain Cathar villages. And that's enough thread derailment, I guess.
  8. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Sounds like early 13th century Ireland is a pretty tolerant place, then :)
  9. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Hey, man, who you choose to sleep with is your own business. At least until the rest of the court finds out.

Some things I did for my Dragon Age modern AU -- http://firelord-zuko.deviantart.com/art/DA-Templar-uniforms-509044121 The uniform of a Templar Knight-Captain. This is what Ser Cullen wears on a day-to-day basis. The left version is normal service dress (No. 2) -- note the dirk and sidearm --...

I don't think it gets any more holy and Roman. Suck it, Voltaire.
  12. Victoria II

Put on army on a ship, save the game, look for it in the code. There is code for embarked units, I believe, but it's been a while since I had a look.
  13. Victoria II

It's an old joke. Person receives a letter with some money in it from a charitable source (God, Santa ...) then writes back to say that the people at the post office must have taken some of it.
  14. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Sounds good to me. Person to start gets a chance to reroll once, maybe, in case some 90-year-old count with no heirs of his flesh comes up? I won't be able to play much until my Christmas break, which starts on 6 December. So if possible, I'd be happy to go last. Don't think we need any...
  15. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

I'd be up for it. Haven't played since Rajas came out, mostly due to how tedious the game can get with time.
  16. Base Maps from 550 BC to Modern Day, all in UCS!

Anyone got a recent basemap of around 1300 CE?
  17. Victoria II

Britannia and Europe have always been allies. The enemy has always been the Chinese Federation. Are you questioning this?
  18. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

I think the character is just named Baldrick for Christian characters :D
  19. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

    That should answer your question.
  20. AH Challenge: Let's make a realistic Code Geass timeline!

Looks pretty reasonable, much like what I've been saying for a while. That said, the restriction against necromancy is a bit silly. It's annoying, but that's no reason to make it an offense.
