I spent my honeymoon on Curaçao and visited all the forts on the island. Most of them are old Spanish and Dutch construction dating from the 1600-1700s. But they were all modified during ww2 and have concrete mounts for American AA guns and radar. Pretty cool.
This timeline continues to be amazing. So much of history is one side rolling sixes when they shouldn’t have been able to. Keep it up and don’t mind the haters.
In OTL the German 6th army will be surrounded and mostly destroyed in the upcoming soviet offensive into Romania. Any chance the German and Romanian forces can pull back and mount a more effective defense? If the succeed in halting the Soviet offensive will Romania still switch sides?
Really enjoying this TL. I’m wondering about the various SS units forming in Hungry during the summer and fall of 44. Will they be formed as part of the Heer or given to the Hungarian army?
With more Italian focus on the eastern front instead of North Africa, will we be seeing the Semovete 90/53 in its intended use taking on Russian tanks over a mile away?
