  1. Map Thread XVIII

@Bennett Nice map, but I have a few questions: Whats the difference between Acadians/Louisianans and Californios/Mexicans? Also, why are Mormons listed as a separate category? Do all Mormons identify as a separate ethnic group, or are they say represented more in the English group with a few...
  2. Map Thread XVII

@timmy_khagann First off let me say nice map, I like it.I would appreciate some flags and an infodump. I would move the state labels or use the postal code since they all seem to be the same as OTL. I do have a few questions you can consider when writing the info: When is the map set? What...

@Keperry I like it, balkanized North Americas are a personal favorite of mine. What the story with Anglo Texas?
  4. Map Thread XVII

Is there a flag for the state?
  5. AHC: Explain this bumper sticker

The sticker, much like the one from OTL, is southern in origin, though this one is found amongst the backwoods of Appalachia and the Texas Hill Country, where the descendants of Southern Unionist proudly retain affection for their loyalist roots, much to the lament of patriotic Confederate citizens.
  6. Ways for CSA to Win Civil War?

That panhandle would've probally been ceded to the US, since that area was highly unionist, and one of the first areas to reject Confederate authority. Indeed, most of the Northwestern part of the state was unionist, with the more southern regions having divided loyalties.
  7. Texan Pacific Port

Hello lads and lasses, I was wondering, with a post 1818 POD, is there any way for a Republic of Texas to get a pacific port, either from California, Sonora, etc.? The port doesn't have to be connect to the state by land, but it does have to be under Texan control.
  8. AHC: Chicago as US Capital

They might move the capital to signify a break with the old bourgeoisie goverment and a new era in history. They might select Chicago because it is a large, industrial city, but one that is more central in the US, and it doesn't have any historical connetations with the ousted goverment.
  9. Small OTL History Questions thread (Before 1900)

What were Stephen F. Austin's views on the annexation of Texas by the United States?
  10. DBWI: The Mexican Empire collapsed?

If the empire fell, I believe that today we would see abouth four or five sucessour states in the region. The US probally won't invade or really interfer in Mexican politics, I mean, look at how they ignored Texas, even when they sent annexation petitions. The US at the time doesn't want any...

I only have one thing to say about cowboy pirates:
  13. Confederate Missouri or Kentucky

Hello Lads and Lasses, I was wondering, in the board's opinion, out of Kentucky and Missouri, which would be more likely to have been given to the Confederacy in the event of an early war victory, either wholly or partitioned?
  14. References: Prototypes, transitional and ephemeral uniforms

Different styles of the Air Force's Billy Mitchel Heritage style uniform, which the Air Force was testing but put on hold abopting indefinitely due budget constraints, and Transitional informal black air force dress Uniform. EDIT: My apoligies for the link in the male picture of the Hap...
