No Colonies

Ok, not sure if this is ASB or not but here goes:

WI no European nation established colonies outside of Europe. They had trading posts in the Americas, Africa and Asia but no perminant bases.

What would the world look like now? You thoughts........

Uh, hard to tell. 500 years is a long time for nations to change, y'know. As far what the immediate consequences are, that may be easier. The Triple Alliance might eventually get around to stamping out Tlaxcala and its allies Cholula and Huexotzingo. In Yucatan the popular Cocoms might ally with the Cupuls and Canuls to destroy their Tutul Xiu rivals, and perhaps even reestablish a capital at Mayapan or Chichen Itza, or maybe just make their own capital larger.
