1920, A time of change for the usual Neutral nation of the Kingdom of Sweden...
Birger Furugård was a key part in the ideological shift of the Scandinavian nation being inspired of the Authoritarian Fascists of Italy and the National Socialist movement in Germany, It wasn't until the 1930's when Birger came into a major role into Goverment affairs and soon eventually overthroughing King Gustaf V and his government to create the Nationalistiska Republiken Sverige (The Nationalist Republic of Sweden) This is the history and collection of the Axis nation of Sweden during the second World War.

Well, I had an Idea like this for a bit. I doubt this thread will be popular since this is my first time doing thid :p So give me suggestions and constructive critisism!

The real question here is how the Winter War will go if the Finns are being re-enforced from the west.
The Aland Islands could cause some drama though.

Once the new regime took the reigns of power, Furugård looked for inspiration to his friend to the south, the Nazi Party, in December of 1931 the Swedish President issued a series of reconstruction plans across the nation during the År av återuppbyggnad he was interviewed by the newly formed Nationell Svensk Tidning where he stated,

'Sweden was a power centuries ago it pushed back invaders and conquered the East, West, North, and South! Until our great Nordic legacy ended and we became a pitiful state, I and my fellow men want to change all of this! We will rebuild, rearm, and become a great empire like we were."

Sweden from 1931 to 1934 became stronger than under Gustaf V, With help from Germany Sweden built its first tank the, Landsverk L-60 Sweden during the war created over 8,900 Tanks it was less than Furugård's original Pre-War plan of having 'Half a Million Tanks' and the unrealism of it.

Furugård was also very delighted with the Nazi's radical views on Jewish, Disabled, Homosexual, and more, in fact, he had plans to deport and imprison many once he was done rebuilding Sweden many scholars believe the Swedish President to be more onboard with Nazi views than any other German ally such as Italy.

Just to nitpick, the Third Reich wasn't declared until 1933. The Nazi Party was certainly this guy's inspiration from what I know, but they weren't in power in Germany just yet.

Yes, but the official name of the Weimar Republic was simply German Reich, so the original text works just as well.

Well, insofar as they weren't yet led by the Nazis who were Furugard's inspiration, no, it still doesn't quite work.

If Sweden begin demand again Åland, this makes position of Finland pretty awkward. Finns didn't like Soviets very much on 1930's so even alliance with USSR not way. Perhaps Furugård is going divide Finland with Soviets. This makes very intresting WW2.

This seems interesting, even if the POD seems to be the majority of Swedes going stark raving mad some time in the late 1920s...
