AHC: Non-ASB World Domination/Conquest

With a POD no earlier than the signing of the Congress of Vienna, have a new, sovereign country that never existed in OTL not only become a world power, but conquer all of world (or at least have the power and influence of the British Empire at its greatest extent) by the year 2100.

I'm not 100% sure if such a thing is possible, though, so I'm willing to make modifications to this AHC.

The only possibility country I could see is Germany. Vienna is 1815 so the US is out. Europe provides only Germany and Italy as candidates and Italy does not have the resources for an industrial economy to become a global hegemon. Don't think that any African nation can make that kind of leap and as for Asia the one that can China existed prior to 1815

Don't forget India, if you can somehow get an early united India that can quickly adapt and modernise and join the ranks of the world powers.

Hmm. How about an ATL version of the USSR which was more federalist, a lot less centralized, and which, as such, openly accepted non-contiguous national Soviet Federal Socialist Republics as equal members of the Union as well? As such, you could add all of the Warsaw Pact members to TTL's USSR, along with all of the socialist post-colonialist republics which achieved their independence thanks to movements led by former students of the Comintern Politburo's Communist University of the Toilers of the East (KUTV) and International Lenin School (ILS)- including Kenyatta's Kenya (and via him, the EAF), Bakdash's Syria, Ho Chi Minh's Vietnam, Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana, I.T.A Wallace-Johnson's Sierra Leone (and Nigeria), and a whole host of others- perhaps even including the greatest prize of all, President Liu Shaoqi's Peoples' Republic of China. Could that constitute a plausible scenario for one nation coming close enough to 'taking over the world'?

What about a Euorpean Federation? Or does the existence of the EU mean that this federation doesn't satisfy the condition of "never existing IOTL".

Another suggestion, what about a new brand of communism which mandates that all communist countries become parts of a global federation. By sponosring revolutions in other countries this sort of federation could take over much of the world.

I don't think you're going to get a non-federal world empire though....

No, the fact that the EU exists doesn't rule out the possibility of a European Federation taking over the world - although I don't think it would be able to, considering what's going on in the EU today.

I definitely agree with this. Some parts of this world empire would surely be autonomous in some way.

Didn't Simon Bolivar want to unite the Americas into a single nation? I doubt it's possible but such a nation would definitely be a superpower if it could survive.

World domination implies strong military backing/supremacy both naval and land (and later air) and denomination of the global economy.
Since only federative powers seem to be cohesive over large distances some sort of federative political structure would be needed regardless of head of state - in fact an apolitical constitutional head of state would be desirable if it isn't conciliar.
Local groups would need coopting to reduce rebellion so local representation and a lack of ethnic suppression are vital.
