How Didn't The Japanese Have Air Superiority In The Pacific During WW2?

Another thing to consider the endurance that needs. That's a lot of time flying over water, staying awake, hoping you got the right bearing before you left, hoping you don't CFIT, or run out of fuel, or have a malfunction, or get jumped by a US Navy BARCAP.....

How Didn't The Japanese Have Air Superiority In The Pacific During WW2?

Another thing that I think needs to be not ignored is US AAA. Or "If it flies, it dies", in regards to anything Japanese. Between radar robbing any attackers of any surprise and allowing a BARCAP or twelve to be vectored right onto any attacker, and US flak being thick enough to walk on, in...

WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

Yeah, TV series really have it difficult, because after awhile, well, you run out of ideas, and have to start recycling them. Look at the Simpsons, or NCIS. There's only so many times you can do the same plot, even with characters and such.

To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

I know that vibe. Old worksite changed shit, so now I'm at a new one. Spent yesterday and tuesday doing a extra shift or two before my new schedule there kicks in, same hours, just uh.... Look, I'm at a guardhouse 3-11PM, and have been going there since Tuesday, won't end until Sunday. Then...

To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

I think they did before the War, helped train and equip some of their units. Eh, you sure about that? Autralia is one of their colonies, Japan isn't.

To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

True, but Australia will start whining and then Britain realizes they have a new rival in the Pacific, near India.....

Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

There's also the fact that well, they do have experience with growing it, so it makes a little sense.

WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

Pretty much. Too much corruption and growing tensions, all it takes is a spark, and all hell breaks loose. Repression only works for so long.

Bicentennial Man: Ford '76 and Beyond

As always, the Simpsons was accurate in predicting this: But let's not start this debate.

Also we kept getting episodes with him. It's one thing if he pops up once or twice, but when we keep getting them, in the early seasons that also had a lot of issues iwth the show growing the beard, and well....

Ocean of Storms: A Timeline of A Scientific America

Pretty much. Food has to taste alright, be storable for a long time, have all the calories and possibly vitamins, not break dietary restrictions (Oh god, the dietary restrictions), and on a budget that's affordable.

WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

Could be the inciting incident for what causes him to "go bad"? I do like the idea of the President hearing some very..... bad rumors from Starfleet. Rumors about how he sold out one of their heroes, breaking a deal they'd alreayd made to accept punishment, all to appease their enemies. That's...

WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

One interesting thread Exiles could consider, is the uh, ramifications of selling out a famous hero to a foreign pwoer, especially going back on a deal like that. Could be a bit.... unpleasant if say, a lot of the Captains of Starfleet bring it up.

Ocean of Storms: A Timeline of A Scientific America

Honestly, this is probably a investigator's dream and nightmare. The scene is secure, nobody going up without authorization, debris isn't going anywhere, small suspect list. The issue is, well, getting up there to confirm it before the possible suspect tosses any evidence.

I have this idea of a ship finally dockign with a Starbase and going "Wow, it has been way too long since we saw those uniforms."

To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

Funnily enough, recently read a book on them, and man, there is delusional commanders, and then there's "We can find tons of locals willing to fight for the Whites" while also constantly butting heads and not having any idea what is going on. Honestly, the entire debacle earned the title of...

WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

It could happen. Chernobyl required a lot going wrong to happen, so a potentially very messy and public close call would be arguably just as good. Thanks to Wikipedia, well, Smolensk NPP 1 & 2 come online in '83 and '85 respectively. Maybe they have the test go wrong, but thanks to a more...

This man is delusional, take him to the infirmary. Chernobyl memes aside, it makes sense to have another RBMK explode. Doesn't have to be Chernobyl.

Why is the Colonial America period so glossed over?

A lot of it is simple: Until you hit College level classes, most history classes don't have the time to cover it. Like, they have a year, usually to come up to modern dayish, and in my high school, we didn't get that far. So they have to compress stuff. And honestly, I read a book on the Salem...
