  1. Flag Thread IV

Ha, now I'm jealous, this would be pretty much exactly what I would have needed for a fictional country for my own story. Nice work.
  2. Flag Thread IV

I'm President the Head of Richard Nixon, and I approve this message, my fellow Earthican.

Ah, that's a good idea, thank you!

Yeah, although really more like assimilated. In this round of CK2, it was the result of Haesteinn of Nantes being more successful in his conquests and then converting to Christianity before his family eventually managed to usurp the Carolingian dynasty.

Because the Norman culture developed there instead of OTL Normandy.

...I think that's the first time I've seen Grand Theft Auto cross over with Steven Universe, admittedly.

I'm thinking of revisiting an old CK2 thing for a timeline, does anyone have a possible flag for a Renaissance Norman France? For reference, ITTL Normandy is OTL Brittany, the capital is Nantes, and "France" does not include Occitania. It is, however, very zealously Catholic.

Well, what's the POD and the circumstances regarding the union? It might be very different from OTL in iconography depending on the houses involved.

    Galicia probably wants in.

Wales never gets a break, does it?
  11. Flag Thread IV

While we're talking about fictional scenarios, here's a flag for a D&D setting's Gnoll Confederation. For those unaware: gnolls are hyena-people, usually considered savage marauders but other times simply misunderstood. This setting opts for the latter. They've managed to form a loose...

The solution here I went for is one in which they're not Nazis; Germanic symbolism (unrelated to racial supremacy, here at least) and German national unification colors.

There was a good Polish one below mine on the same page, and here's an Italian one. Naturally, almost any nationalist Italian movement is bound to play up the Roman aspect, and the olive wreath and phoenix spell that out pretty plainly. (Though I imagine they often get asked, 'Is that Mexico?'...

Oh, yes. I just meant it was the artist's interpretation of the event, and presumably why they chose to portray it as such.

Which is because it's in the reign of James I and VI (who was Scottish, of course, and declared personal union over Great Britain).

How's this for Russia? Wasn't sure if you meant one that was remade to replace the existing Federation or one that just never died in the first place. This should work for either.
  17. Flag Thread IV

    Well...it would probably be yellow.
  18. A New Coat of Arms Thread

Wicker? Hmm. Oh! Also, apologies, forgot to credit the artist, the talented but awkwardly named...
  19. A New Coat of Arms Thread

Whoa, hate to perform threadnomancy here but I had to share this one. A personal coat of arms for my (vulpine) queen, ruler of the fictional yet very British Kingdom of Vulland! The star is the approximate equivalent of the cross in her world.

    Well, that one's easy enough.
