Wetlands: Since this world is a lot wetter, wetlands will be widespread throughout the world. I believe they will be a hotbed for disease and parasites.
I think we should come up with our own languages, but if we're going with the second option, than I propose having the Austronesian, Ainu, Austroasiatic, Dené–Yeniseian, Eskimo–Aleut, Japonic, Koreanic, Tungusic, and Basque.
