  1. Another Map Contest?

Adun Toridas! When do we start?
  2. DBWI: What if the D-Day Landings had succeeded?

    1) I think the answer to that question depends on how soon the invasion forces could have linked the beachheads together. If they do it quickly, while the Wehrmacht was still reeling from the audacity of an invasion of Normandy, there is a possibility that the invasion plans could have been...
  3. Another Map Contest?

I fully expect to make a fool of myself, but I'm in.
  4. The Night Chicago Died

Yeah, I know. It's just a thought that if the Soviets thought they might have a social revolution on their hands, they might support it.
  5. The Night Chicago Died

An interesting line of thought, but then the question turns to (with regards to Stalingrad) would the obvious lessons be taken to heart by the Soviets, who might simply view the whole thing as a failed socialist revolution... Hang on, I'm getting a line of thought here...if the Soviets take...
  6. AH CHALLENGE: Move the US Capital West

Short of a coup or a nuclear war, I'm not sure what else could cause them to move the capital of the US anywhere farther west. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, there is no real precedent for moving a capital outside of war or a coup.
  7. Who were other possible JFK running mates?

I've read that this will be the first time since 1928 that an incumbent Pres. or VP hasn't run in a primary, and the first time since 1920 when they haven't even sought a nomination.
  8. Willian Wallace wins at Falkirk

Even if Comyn and Bruce both somehow die in pursuit of Scottish independence (I find that point alone somewhat unlikely), I don't think Wallace could muster the support to even try to 'come back.' From what I remember, he abandoned his Guardianship and fled to France after the defeat at Falkirk...
  9. Claws of The Eagle

Another Houstonian? Excellent. For those who have never learned anything about Texas history, Houston was the capital of the RoT between 1836-1838 (I think the dates are correct), while Austin was being built. However, at this point in time, there's nothing particularly special about the...

"Kids, don't fuck with lightning. It could harm some very important body parts." - Ben Franklin
  11. N/A

The success of the American Revolution inspired revolutionaries for a century afterwards. The removal of success there would vastly change the face of the world throughout the 19th century.
  12. Famous quotations that never were

"I think Hitler was right. The German race really is superior - you don't get this quality meat off of the Jews." - Stalin

  14. Famous quotations that never were

"I did not take target practice at that man, Harry Whittington." - Dick Cheney
  15. Famous quotations that never were

I think protesting is a Constitutional right, but one that we need to do respectfully. I won't have any of those who call for the desecration of the funerals of our fallen heroes. - Fred Phelps
  16. Famous quotations that never were

I can one up you, I think. "I'm tired of all these motherf*ckin' terrorists in that motherf*ckin' region." - President Samuel Jackson before initiating a huge nuclear strike on the Middle East.
  17. AHFanatic's next TL

A Nation Divided, because like everyone else, I want to know what nation. The Tungska one also sounds very interesting.
  18. Anglo-Hanoverian TL: Mk. II

Three minutes is a bit of a short wait. It's good, but I do have one question. In TTL, what are the comparative navy numbers for the Anglo-Hanoverians, the Japanese, Americans et cetera? And also, OTL, one of the main reasons the IJN was so powerful was because of British advisers in the...
  19. No Pizza!

    I'd be unemployed.
  20. Famous quotations that never were

We like nitpicking, anyway. I suppose you meant this quote for George Walker Bush, since George H. W. Bush has no son named entirely after him.
