  1. The Anglo/American - Nazi War - The on-going mystery

IMO the Americans should have had a rather harder time enforcing their 'any nail that sticks up gets hammered down' diplomacy than they did. For example, India should have just ignored the whole ban on spaceflight and gone ahead with launching their own satellites since they have nuclear weapons...
  2. What if the outcome of the "Glorious" Revolution had been decided by a sword duel between King James VII & II and William of Orange?

Even if everything you've said is true, that's just a long list of reasons why William wouldn't do it. There are PODs for James to keep his throne, but this is rather a silly one. It's amusingly English of you to assume that not speaking proper English equals being uneducated.
  3. Unthinkable World 1965

But Ireland is part of the UK here, which suggests a pre-1916 POD.
  4. The Anglo/American - Nazi War - The on-going mystery

IMO they should let other countries into the A4, provided they get unanimous approval from current A4 members and can meet appropriate criteria regarding human rights/democracy/etc.
  5. Titulus Princeps: Bessie Blount Has A Girl

She can join Dr Butts and Francis Talbot in trying to get as far away from Henry as humanly possible.
  6. Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

Well, considering it's the CSA, their solution will probably be to start a war or something. I know that it would be completely ASB, but the idea of Max winning a CSA-Mexican war and somehow taking back Texas is hilarious.
  7. Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

There were also a few slaves which historically escaped into Mexico, which I imagine Maximilian will be happy to continue. Apparently there was an attempt OTL by the US to get Mexico to agree to return fugitive slaves, which fortunately Mexico declined.
  8. 8mm to the Left: If Hitler Died in 1923

Even without the Nazis there are still quite a few places where eugenics had a racial component. Look at sterilization of native women in the US and Canada. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sterilization_of_Native_American_women https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compulsory_sterilization_in_Canada...
  9. WI Ireland took advantage of the Falklands War to launch a sneak attack on Britain and liberate Ulster?

As Sir Humphrey once remarked, the ship of state is the only ship which leaks from the top.
  10. WI Ireland took advantage of the Falklands War to launch a sneak attack on Britain and liberate Ulster?

Except unlike Britain they actually share a land border with NI, so anyone can just walk across the border to plant a bomb in mainland Ireland. Oh, and there are more Protestants than Catholics in NI, so the insurgency is likely to be a good bit bigger, yet the Irish would have less resources to...
  11. España No Ha Muerto: If Franco brought Spain into the Second World War

Latin America: friendship? I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
  12. Titulus Princeps: Bessie Blount Has A Girl

Sadly for Francis, the antipodes of the British Isles, New Zealand, hasn't yet been discovered. Otherwise he could put the entire molten core of a planet between him and Henry.
  13. Titulus Princeps: Bessie Blount Has A Girl

France isn't far enough, IMO. That's why I'd go for the New World. I'd feel far safer with the Atlantic Ocean between me and Henry rather than just the English Channel.
  14. Titulus Princeps: Bessie Blount Has A Girl

If I were Francis, I'd probably think strongly about emigrating before Henry can recover. Preferably to the New World - an entire ocean between me and the king I accidentally castrated would sound rather attractive.
  15. 8mm to the Left: If Hitler Died in 1923

But by that standard plenty of animals practice pacifistic survival strategies, like running away from enemies, or relying on camouflage to avoid being noticed by predators.
  16. 8mm to the Left: If Hitler Died in 1923

I assume he also lives in a cave and eats his meat raw, because that’s how animals do it, and apparently people should live like animals now.
  17. 8mm to the Left: If Hitler Died in 1923

But loads of inventions are solely human - literature, the arts, language, science, the use of any tool more advanced than a stick, clothing, and cooking meat before you eat it, to name but a few. Does Blomberg think all of those inventions are equally ridiculous, and that German soldiers...
  18. Maid of Norway, Queen of Scotland: A Plantagenet Britain Timeline

Not really, it's just Yolanda trying to force her superiority. She isn't even actually English, technically.
  19. Maid of Norway, Queen of Scotland: A Plantagenet Britain Timeline

Aren't the Scottish arms pretty similar anyway? A red lion on a gold background? It's basically the same as Edward but with the colours inverted.
  20. Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

Why do I get the feeling that many of those vexed members have jobs around protocol that could be at risk if people start thinking protocol isn't all that important? Shouldn't that be 'Captain General'?
