I'm just copy pasting from word. What's the problem with the double lines?

The eye tries to move to the next paragraph, but it isn't there. Instead it is a line further down, but the narrative thread has been disrupted and my attention is now outside the story. In Word, do a search and replace for ^p, replacing it with ^l (caret and lowercase L). That will replace the paragraph breaks with line breaks, and the board software will properly interpret the line break.
