No Immigration Act of 1924

The Immigration Act of 1924 sharply curtailed immigration to the United States. Asians were pretty much banned from entering the USA. Immigrations from Eastern and Southern Europe were effectively banned; their numbers were so small that more people from those parts of the world left the USA than entered. What would the world be like if no Immigration Act of 1924 (or similar law) was passed in the United States?

The one effect I immediately think of is that at least hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Jews escape Hitler (and the levels of migration stay the same from 1924 until World War II).

Lacking a legal obstacle to Immigration the Nativist movement resorts to other quasi legal and illegal actions to discourage newcomers. The revived KKK post 1915 was at the forefront of this Nativist or WASPs only doctrine & was not shy about using violence for its political goals in the 1920s. Other organizations took up similar political doctrines and supported violent and non violent actions.

Immigrant associations like churches, social clubs, trade groups, would take up similar actions to protect their interest as US citizens & residents.

Continued immigration above post 1925 levels of OTL further undercuts the old WASP majority and economic dominance. Some groups such as the German decended or Catholics remain culturally or politically distinct and are not accepted as WASPs as occurred OTL from the middle to latter 20th Century.
