That's not always the case. In a ideal supply-side era (like the industrial revolution), lower prices and increased productivity (and thus more employment) come together. That's because it leads to a price reduction while overall GDP increases, creating a win-win situation for everyone...

Even a territory is hard to achieve. Gays constitute a very small minority of 1 percent today, and probably would have been much smaller back then due to worse social conventions. Unless they settled in Antartica or some isolated island, they'll be quickly overwhelmed by everyone else.

Another factor is that North Korea has been preparing for about 60 years for this conflict. Almost all of its production and spending is focused on this war. So, we can probably expect higher than normal losses for the US troops compared to other conflicts.

I just quickly looked at the Map thread on the same board up to page 10, and I've only seen 3 or 4 maps that have a smaller Ottoman Empire/Turkey than OTL. On half of them, I saw them have more territory than OTL. And even for published AH, I think there's an bigger Ottoman Empire in TL 191...

I think Italy tied down more Allied troops than German troops, but I'm not too sure about it.

Hmmm, I always see the Ottoman Empire somehow retaining more territory than OTL most of the times. Usually it stays in the pre-WWI level. Sure, its treated as an ahistorical dystopic Islamic Sultanate, but territorial wise, I can't remember too many scenarios that have it smaller than OTL...
