What if after the balfour proclomation, the palesitianian arabs were moved across the country into the eastern portion of Palestine/Israel, which formed with the transjordan, the hashemite kingdom of palestine?, the jews get the mediternan coast board area, as well as that on the sinai, while the palestinians get the deadsea/redsea/negev area?
Jeursalam is occupied by the british as a free city under the league of nations, also along with this is the annexation of lebanon into the syrian mandate with the southern portion annexed into israel.
is this plausible?

It's the kind of thing Europeans did in various parts of Africa, and no doubt it will be greeted with equal fondness, and better tactics. I don't think it is feasible at a cost the British would consider acceptable. It could, of course, be done.

The Palestinians won't be moved anywhere. They were quite stubbornly attached to their freeholds, it was only the threat of the HaGanah that made them flee, and those that did not flee were often exterminated.

In any case, a simple east-west split wouldn't really fit, much of the West Bank of the Jordan was already filling up with Kibbutzim and other settlements - and International control of Jerusalem wouldn't be acceptable to either party.

Erm - we are talking about post-WWI, not post-WWII. There are hardly any Zionist settlers in the country yet. The POD is basically that the Brits decide to consider the Jewish settlers as 'colonists' and the Arabs as 'natives'.
