Okay, so I figured out how to centralize the HRE.

Jeez, all the nationalism revolts that've popped up since the completion of centralization are making me cry. I've already figured Kaffa is a loss, but I'm persistent in playing whack-a-mole on the Continent.

How are you handling France and/or whatever blob has formed to the east?

It's only 1437-- I, ah, gamed the system a little bit at the beginning. Create/release vassal'd everything I could in France at the beginning (Orleans is blobbing up France now), and started a few minor wars in the HRE to pump up my Imperial Authority early on, although I release now that it only sped things up maybe five years at the most. Imperial Authority is very easy to gain.

In the east, Poland and the Teutonic Order are battling back and forth, with Lithuania gaining the most from the conflict. Not too worried about the east, although the Ottomans have been gobbling up Hungary recently.

Turns out, the reason why there's revolts everywhere is because apparently I've been in the middle of a peasant's war for the past decade or so. Damn peasants just won't give up or something, I guess.

I'm considering doing a Japan game after (or concurrently with) this, since I hear the Sengoku Jidai is ridiculously detailed.
Well, when you finish this game, MMP2 has upgraded to be able to use the "real" 3.2... So we now have MMP2:Christmas Edition v1.1!

That's a funny image.

So anywyas, guys, i just got my new Acer Aspire quadcore computer (with Vista!) which is a HUGE improvement over my last one, which kept crashing. However, when I try and play EU3, the game is off-center in regards to the screen. There's like an inch or two hanging off of the left side of my screen, and to the right of my screen is just empty blackness. Is there a patch or something to fix this?

But what do you mean "finish" this game?

Whenver you "finish" playing your current game (a particular save), as in, when you get bored or get to 1821.

Now when you are "finished" with EU3, just with your current play through.

Just got the game for Christmas...and I'm already hooked! I've been playing the Timurids (Muslim state in Central Asia) with the intention of going south and creating the Mughal Empire in India...no such luck yet I do give the designers props for creating historically accurate Middle Eastern and Indian nations (this is the first game I've seen with them...some of the Civilization IV scenarios have the Spain-to-Baghdad Caliphate surviving way longer than it did in OTL. Though to nit-pick, the Hindu states in India are way to strong-in the three or four times I've played, India is dominated by three or four of them, with most of the Muslims conquered by 1500-completely the opposite of OTL. Vijaynagara and Rajputana in particular desperately need to be nerfed.)

As for the actual gameplay, its much slower than the Civilization games I'm used to, and wars need to be planned out a whole lot more. It feels more historical, but it can be rather frusterating when your king dies right in the middle of a war, and the tribal succession struggle kicks off.

Well, when you get good/bored with vanilla, try MMP2.

(What DID you get for Christmas? Basic EU3? EU3 Complete? EU3 + expansions? HTTT?)

There's actually been a forum thread about India, and looks like we have a couple of native Indians who know a lot about the history of the region, so hopefully there will be a more historically accurate representation.

India is the one continent (fine, subcontinent) besides Africa that the team feel is nowhere near proper representation.

I have EU3 complete. Excuse me if this is a newbie question, but what is MMP2?

I know a little bit about subcontinental history, though I'm not an expert by any means.

MMP2 is Magna Mundi Platinum 2. It's a free mod that adds a lot to the game.

I just got EUIII complete, and this is my first game, with me playing as the Byzantines.

My Vassals include: Croatia, Wallachia, Bosnia, Serbia, Transylvania, Iraq, Syria, Algeria, and two other countries in Africa I can't remember.

Okay, question: So all you have to do to get ab big global screenshot like the one above is to press F12? Where does the file get saved? Does this work on vanilla?
