True, but the amount they move from their "central point" is so small anywyas so it Shouldn't matter
Thanks for your constructive comment though! I appreciate it

Edit:
but now that I think of it... Why did they do it in real life? Must be a reason of some sort :S

Your Welcome.

Yeah thats why I noticed it. I couldn't figure out what the point was.
The only thing I can think of at this point is to change the natural frequency of the cables (they are antenna I assume?) so that they are unlikely to resonate with the wind.

No idea I just got made them according to what I've seen on real photos ( so blame the navy !)

better? I made the blue a bit darker and I removed all the black lines, replaced them with blue colour.
That does look better, thank you.

Okay here's another of Insert's alternate WWII weapons. I changed the designation but that's it. A Thompson SMG set up as a UZI style weapon. A little made up history below.

From Small Arms of the US Military,

The M1A4 Thompson started out as an earlier 1942 request for a compact submachine gun. A radical change from the original Thompson, the A4 had the magazine located in the pistol grip. Although the first production models came with stocks, many US soldiers removed them. US tankers found having a compact weapon useful for spraying rounds at German infantry. In the Pacific Marines and Army troops would use them in close quarter combat.

Like the M1A1 Thompson, the A4 was expensive to produce. Its usefulness though as a weapon for MPs, Paratroopers, and rear units kept the M1A4 in production. It was generally phased out but the Armed forces. Enough remained in stock to see use in Korea, and a few private A4 even appeared in Vietnam.

Many of the surplus A4s were bought by Jewish settlers in Palestine. When the new nation of Israel was born in 1948 the A4 was a common sight. It was one of the primary SMGs of the IDF till its replacement by the Uzi. Israeli A4 Thompsons were used in the Six Day War and October War.

Nice gun and history gtrof!

Since I have shot with both an M1A1 Thompson and an Uzi SMG, it is very easy for me to imagine myself shooting with an M1A4 in an alternate reality.

P.S. Which gun are you drawing next?

Can you make uzi-grip SMG's that don't have a wraparound bolt?

And I don't think you'd get many soldiers removing the buttstock, they didn't with the regular Thompson as it'd make the weapon all but unaimable.

Okay I didn't think about that, I just thought it would be easier for tankers and other vehicle crewmembers. Thanks Landshark.

You have the flags the wrong way round. You should have the White Ensign at the stern and the Union Jack at the bow. Also, the ensign at the masthead is a bit strange with the modern (post-1860) RN flag system:
It could be a battle ensign, but then it would be bigger and you wouldn't be flying the jack, as jacks are flown when not under way, and battle ensigns are flown in battle.
It could be a rank flag, but then it wouldn't be a white ensign. It would be a Union Jack (Admiral of the Fleet), St George's cross (Admiral), St George's Cross with 1 red ball (Vice-Admiral) or St George's cross with 2 red balls (Rear-Admiral).

Otherwise, that's an awesome ship! What's it armed with? 4x2 15in, same as Hood?

Thanks for your comment I'll see what I can do about the flags. (I'm not british, so I'm not really experienced when it comes to how to use the union jack correctly :P. I just made it how I saw it in a picture, which I can't find anymore... ._. )
And about the guns; No, it's not 4x2 15in.
It's 4x3 18.5in (46.99cm)

Whoa, that's good, though it is hard to make out some of the details. What program(s) did you use to make it?

The blueprints look cool but I agree with Krall its a little hard to make out some things. Would love to see a skinned and colored verision. \

I can easily imagine this in WWII. The two cannons are nice for AT work, plus armed with rockets make it a nice attack bird. Maybe a different model could have an even bigger gun in the belly, maybe a 40 or 50mm.

I don't want to rain on your parade but isn't that just a regular He-219 Uhu nightfighter? I mean you can see the four 20mm cannon in the ventral position.

37 mm rounds, duh. A 37mm barrel is going to be like having no barrel at all.

Indeed it is. I withdraw my praise entirely.
