A "couple" of entries, literally a couple. I voted for the Swedish melting pot that is no longer that Swedish anymore.

In good sportsmanship, I must say I really liked islander's contribution, as it was a completely different spin on the whole "rapid climate change" than the ones I had in mind. A technical overview of the processes that bring about self-sufficiency is pretty witty.
