Could you point me somewhere about the Internet in public libraries? I probably won't vote for Clinton anyway (I think I'll wait and see which right-wing candidate mounts the most credible challenge), but I'm curious.

Looks like the right are all holding their votes back for now, with the left pretty split, but probably favoring Clinton.

I expect that once the right start voting en masse, the left will pick a side and stick with it.

Well, there'd have to be a transition period, of course. Wean off nuclear and onto to solar/wind.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Never underestimate the ability of the left here to split its vote.

Which is why, fellows of the Great Right-Wing Conspiracy, we must hold back our votes until the left is firmly split!

Clinton is probably going to capture the center though, and if RogueBeaver is any indication, even get a bit of support from the right. God knows what will happen if I say this (), but I think Clinton all but has it in the bag.

I like the idea of weaning off coal onto nuclear.

OK, from oil and coal to nuclear, and then from nuclear to solar, wind, water, etc.

Most definitely.

Unfortunately, nuclear plants as they are now can't just sit dormant waiting for a time when, I dunno, El Niño or Satan or whatever fucks up our ability to harness clean energy sources for a time, leading to power shortages (even ever so briefly) that can, admittedly, be all but solved by a smartgrid.

Otherwise I would advocate nuclear backup energy.

I feel dirty being on RB's side.

But Nader just seems inherently grating to me even if we are more in sync politically

Naders campaigns have always been more about punishing America for not liking his ideas more, than about informing America about his ideas.

As an engineer I tip my hat to this plan. The problem with nuclear power is that after 3 Mile island we never implemented thay safety grid because the nation lost its mind and didn't want anything nuclear built, no matter the reason.
