You mean the Sword of Islam expansion? No, you shouldn't.

I'm horrified at the sort of succession crisis possible with a royal family of the functionally immortal.

Doesn't functional immortality effectively rule out any sort of succession crisis? Well, apart from death in battle and to disease...but that would apply to everyone.

It gives little info.
Glorious Knights and Terrors in the Night is a project I've been thinking about since CK2 came out; and now that Doomdark has very, very graciously added the ability to make immortal traits; I can finally get this mod underway. Because I am so busy being awesome all the time, I have very little time to mod, but I can usually get an hour or two in every night. The plan is to release this mod in stages. Probably based around story arcs. I also plan to update the two already existing story arcs (the Dragon and the Gates to Hell) so that they are more interesting than just three events are so. But they will be much rarer. Unfortunately I have 0 skill with 3d graphics so I cannot do too much for the portraits, so things there might be a little limited. Plans that I have: - Vampire and vampire hunter arcs - Werewolf arc - Dragon arc split into two (for good and evil dragons) - Magic and sorcery (maybe a new education) - Elderly ruler turns to magic to keep off death - Sylvan neighbors All these arcs and minor events will come with traits and hopefully be a lot of fun for those of us who wish to see a more "magical" time in Medieval Europe. If you have any suggestions for arcs or wish to help, feel free to drop a line. I am hoping to have some basic stuff outlined tonight and then maybe even upload some stuff in the next few days. ID List: Characters: 1.000.108.000 - 1.000.108.999 Dynasties: 1.000.041.000 - 1.000.041.999 Events: 1.000.093.000 - 1.000.093.999 Change Log: Code: v1.2d - Taint accumulates and dissipates properly (hopefully) - Siring via minor title removes modifier properly - Dissipation of taint won't occur if your top liege is Morthali - Vampire Kingdoms added as Crusade targets (not sure if it will help) - More zombies for less piety - Increased MTTH for gaining stats (should prevent roll over) v1.2c - Fixed issue that siring children you were grooming with minor title did not remove their groomed flag - Necromancy decisions now much, much more expensive (5x the piety + 500g down payment) - Morthali characters can now use their own version of the Muslim invasion cb - Increased some MTTHs for religious spread v1.2b - Increased MTTH for conversion events - Two vampiric titles to be created by independent non-king characters who are also outed vampires - Vampiric kings (i.e. Kings with the special titles) can spawn troops for piety - please tell me if unbalanced - Vampirism serious lowers fertility (-1,000,000%) >:| - Fixed small issue with grooming children v1.2 - Vampirism seriously lowers fertility (-10,000%), try and break *that* condom - Outed vampirism gives -1000 to infidels (this includes concealed vampires who might just be "acting the part") - Certain traits are against your nature and you will have to risk insanity to keep them - Spread and Retreat of Taint - Use decisions to groom a child - Use decisions to become a vampire (finally!) v1.1 - Fixed religion spam - Hopefully the switch from concealed to outed no longer kills/ages the character - Civilized Vampires no longer get hyper stats, they gain them with time - Vampires now have healing factor - Concealed vampire traits now use normal traits to hide them a bit better v1.0 - Initial release - Added four Vampire blood lines - Vampires can spread vampirism through the minor titles - "Civilized" vampires can adopt children through events - Provinces ruled by an outed vampire convert to the vampire religion - Nobles ruled by an outed vampire convert to the vampire religion - Couple random events for being outed
