WI Benidcit Arnold killed at Saratoga

What if during Saratoga Arnold, instead of gettings shot in the leg gets shot in the heart? If he never lived to be a traitor would he be one of our National Heros? Would his death be a benifit or detriment to the american cause? Could we see a state named Arnold

Well, He would be remembered as a war hero, not as the Traitor everybody knows, I wouldn't be surprised if his name is used mush more often in American Names. Maybe not a state called Arnold, but some cities.

Also, without a betrayed Arnold at Westpoint, The British have no chance of getting through, and focus their interests somewhere else.

Remembered as a national hero and this site has many threads asking what would have happened had Arnold replaced other, less effective, officers, such as Gates when facing Cornwallis.
