Right it is over to Allan, with some early results from the Senate races
AS Thanks Mark, right Polls have closed in Indiana and in Kentucky and thus far we can say the following:

At this point the Indiana Senate race is “Too Close to Call” we’ll keep you updated on the race between Frank Barkey and State Treasurer Damon Matteo as the night progresses.
In Kentucky we are calling the Senate race for incumbent Senator James Lancaster. Exit polling suggests that he will win by around 27% of the vote, exceeding his margin of six years ago.

It has just turned 7.30 here on the east coast, and the polls have just closed in Ohio and West Virginia.
We are ready to call West Virginia (5 ev) to Walken. Ohio (20 ev) is as expected too close to call.
Here is the updated map

Walken 39
Santos 0
TCTC 44
Polls still to close 455

It's now over to Allan with some more updates on the Senate races.
To surprise to absolutely nobody we can offer very little more than the information that the polls in Ohio have closed. The race between Haydn Straus and Carrie McIntosh hasn’t exactly been one for the purists but it’s clear that it’ll be one of the most dramatic tonight. Officially “too close to call”.
Update on Indiana suggests gives a narrow advantage to former gubernatorial candidate Frank Barkey but perhaps not as much as he’d hope considering the make up of the 8% of districts reporting so far.

Thanks for that Allan.
Tim, what should be looking at the top of this hour. Well Mark, we have polls in nine states closing. The likes of Connecticut, Delaware, and Massachusetts should favor President Santos. Although we should be looking at the turn-out in these safe Democratic states. For the exit polls we are seeing the President should be expecting large wins.

coming in for comment. The Exit polling in Florida looking closer than usual with the Congressional races not posing an issue for Mr. Walken's turnout

However, turnout in my precinct and others around the country is surprisingly up. As a matter of fact more than predicted the question is why? why is it up.

My reasoning says this

1. Talk Radio galvanized the election in 2009....The pundits especially the conservatives exploded this year over the year.... Nash Rockford, Ben Hayden, and others were heavy on the race and its outcome.

2. Next I think was Nicholas Alexander he got out the vote in a third option to both candidates it was a little disappointing the way he dropped out but he got the voters attention anyway.

3. Hoiw about the ease of being able to register? We can see that we were able while renewing our drivers license and in storefronts!

4. Finally the most important cause...LIZ CLARK!!!... the first time in history of the Presidential election Liz Clark revolutionized the race and that has caught more than just the public eye.....

Over to you Mark

A quick question, is anyone going to post more detailed exit polling for example:

Quote:
INDIANA -- POLL CLOSE: 7:00 PM

-- The economy is the top issue here and Walken appears to be benefitting from that. Among economy voters, Walken 56% to 43%.
-- White working class (those without a college degree and earn less than $50K) are backing Walken over Santos by 54% to 46%.
-- Both men and women are divided in their support. In 2006 Santos managed to capture 55% of the female vote.
-- 39% of voters are white evangelicals, up from 30% in 2006. Walken is getting 70% of their support. Vinick captured 62% of the vote in 2006.
I'd quite like to post a blog attempting to analyse them and extrapolate across the country, so if no-one is intending to produce them would anyone mind if I did?

VERMONT UPDATE: LARROQUETTE WINS HOUSE SEAT; RACE STILL TOO CLOSE TO CALL BETWEEN SKINNER, BENSTEAD.

CNN is ready to call the Vermont At-Large House seat for Democrat Alexis Larroquette, over Republican Terrance Chamberlain. Larroquette, a 26-year old community activist and member of the Youth in Revolt, has at least 56% of the vote so far.

Meanwhile, the Senate race between Democratic Lieutenant Governor Alison Benstead and Republican Congressman Matt Skinner remains too close to call, though Skinner maintains the slightest lead. If elected, Skinner would be the first openly gay Senator ever.

It's just turned 8.00 pm here on the east coast, nine states polls have just closed and we are ready to call six of them.
We are calling Connecticut (7 ev), Delaware (3 ev), DC (3 ev), Maryland (10 ev), Massachusetts (12 ev) and Pennsylvannia (21 ev) for President Santos.
We believe Maine (4 ev), New Hampshire (4 ev) and New Jersey (15 ev) are too close to call.
Lets have a look at the up-dated map

Walken 39 ev
Santos 56 ev
TCTC 67 EV
Polls still open 376 ev

Tim Pennsylvannia thats a major suprise, and a big win for President Santos, will are looking at a Santos win of about 7 points.
TT That is a major blow to the Walken camp, they believed they had a real chance to winning the state, but this is a decesive win for the President. 21 electoral votes is a good thing to have so early in the night.
