I do plan on actualy doing updated maps, however their's really no point in doing it if the baseap itself has'nt been improved. Last edited by Iori; September 23rd, 2010 at 12:14 PM.. |

I'm working on a basemap for central Europe (all territories of HRE and surroundings) that I can use for a good detailed map of the area.

Has anybody seen this map before? Apparently the American Indian communities exercise a large degree of territorial and political sovereignty under US federal legislation. To what degree do these jurisdictionally overlap with the county governments?

The degree of autonomy I think really does differ betwee states and tribes, though in general they do seem to be more or less left alone. |

Would it be possible to get a 1900 version of the world on the new standard basemap?

Nice ones guys, but a few nitpicks:
Correct as far as I can tell, but the Rybinsk reservoir somehow shows up when it was only created by the Soviets in 1935-1947. Quote:

I've started updating the History maps using the X-UCS, so far I have 10,000 BCE (blank map) 2,000 BCE, 550 BCE, 323 BCE, 281 BCE and 1980 CE done.
I'm planning on posting the series once I've finished (as the originals are) rather than posting them separately. |

I think you should wait just a bit, as I've almost finished correcting the Basemap. Aside from some minor ones, the only really glaring errors that were left are the Canadian Arctic and Antarctica.

Well, considering Antarctica does'nt actually change politically until well into the 20th century and it'll be awhile before I get to the point where anyone was claiming ro exploring the Canadian Arctic, I think I'm fine for now, I' really just doing the Early ones right now, I actually am considering going and looking at some maps to see if their are any errors in borders and stuff actually.

Next update.
Incorporated Xwarg’s and Frankolio's latest changes. Reworked Antarctica, and included the territorial claims. Fixed the Mackenzie river. Fixed the west tip of Cuba. Fixed the Florida panhandle. Fixed the Istrian peninsula and the Croat-Slovenian border. Fixed Stettin. ![]() Last edited by Morgan Hauser; September 29th, 2010 at 07:22 AM.. |

Ya know what's sort of funny, the UCS Basemap is now actually more detailed than the Q-BAM in some ways.

Has anyone done the Ottoman Empire's 1914 subdivisions for the Worlda map? I haven't seen it, and it would be useful for alternate partitions of the Ottoman Empire.
