Yellowstone Caldera Erupts in 1918

Suppose that Yellowstone's Supervolcano erupts in December 14th, 1918. The volcano collapses before it can release it's maximum capacity of 25,000 cubic kilometers worth of magma. This is still enough to cause massive volcanic winter and cover three quarters of the United States in nearly one centimeter of volcanic ash on average..

What happens next?

Well, my ancestors are fucked every which way in every state they came from.

Canada and the US (is Mexico far enough away?) are reduced and face massive problems as crops fail and most of the nations are covered in ash.
