WI the 9 young black men accused of rape by the 23 white women they'd hitched the train ride with, had been subjected to the lynch mob at the Scottsboro, Alabama, jail, instead of being protected by the Gov and NG to speedily stand trial for rape so they could be executed ? How would the NAACP and Communist Party have reacted with this cause celebre involving the defendants being publicly tortured and murdered by mob violence before they could stand trial ?
