I wholeheartedly agree.

Anyway, for those that are interested I have started a page over on AltHistory Wiki to cover the project. At the moment I have only worked on that starting page and the Euro 2012 one, but after a while I should be able to get the whole two-and-a-bit tournament's pages written up. Of course it is a wiki, so feel free to contribute; at the moment though only restrict it if you do to the 4 pages linked to.

Cool! Martin, will you be releasing your excel doc that the tournament was simulated on? I would love to play around with that.

Ah, ha. Yes. I did want to go through and make it a bit more user friendly, but I might as well put the thing out now that it's done and I'll do some more explanation tomorrow.

Here you go then!

Intresting formula. Would like to see the user-friendly one to see how it works!

Clearly the metagame is different in AHC Euro; the most any one striker managed in OTL Euro was 3 goals.

People aren't big on defensive possession team games, are they.

Alternate universe, alternate strategies, I guess.

Would anyone like to take a stab at picking a team of OTL players from the regions covered by their AH nation? For instance Denmark-Norway has the best players from OTL Denmark and Norway teams..

They call me the buttefly killer..

The future is still in doubt.......

We have to agree on what to do next.

Obviously, there will be no tournaments this year now (Although we should collabarate on a football timeline), but what about next year

Confederations Cup, or North American Cup?

I personally think we should just go with the flow! No point planning one-two years in advance. If there is enough support raised for any obscure footbally tournament then that's fine and I'm all for it, but personally I think it is best to get a ton of people onboard for big (but manageable) events like World Cups or Euros. Just my 2 cents.

If nobody objects I'd like to try something different for the African Cup of Nations, from January 2013.
