Protestant Reformation - Forming the "Protestant Empire"

How could the Protestant Reformation result in the unification of much of northern Europe into cohesive nations with three or four nations at the head?

How could the Protestant Reformation have spread southward, to include Bavaria and other 'German' lands, Belgium, and eastward around the Baltic?

Assuming that these nations nations formed, which ones would be at the head of this Union? Denmark, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden...

Could a single Protestant religion have resulted as a consequence of this more successful 'revolution.' For instance, could we somehow have the European Protestant religions all united as the official religion of these nations...

How could, by 1700, northern Europe have been united under 3-5 crowns?

Wait, one more, what would this single Protestant religion have been called?

What if Henry VIII had come out in favor of Martin Luthor right from the start, tying Great Britain to that Reformation rather than the one that resulted from his desire to be remarried?

This would have resulted in closer English / German / Scandanavian religious connections.

If these connections were paralleled with more dynastic alliances, then the great competitions would have been between the North and France/Spain.

Subsequently, England becomes more involved in the 30 Years War, sending troops to 'defend the faithful against the papacy'. Even if Germany was then divided 50/50 between the REformed and the Catholic churches, Northern Europe would have been more united.

What would have changed had Gustav II Adolph of Sweden, a zealous Lutheran, not lost his life at the battle at Lutzen, Germany?

Had Sweden won their campaign of the Thirty Years' War, what effects would the victory have brought about?

Take a look at my "Empire of Lutherania" re-post in the "Create a country" thread: https://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=33
