WHAT HAPPENED HERE

Okay, I'll give you a verbal idea of what a world looks like, and you come up with how it got there.



It's present day earth.

America, Canada and Mexico are one nation (The United States of North America). Also in the USNA: Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.

Gibralter is part of Spain.

Russia is split into various nations: Western Russia (Essentially russia today minus the following things), Kuril Islands (look it up in a atlas, right by Japan), Siberia and Sea Russia (Essentially russia between the Black Sea and Caspian sea, with cities such as Tuapse, Volgograd, Rostov and Astrakhan).

Belgium, Luxembourg and the netherlands are one country, which I guess I'll call "North-Eastern France".

Albania is part of greece.

New Zealand is part of Australia.

The two nations that have the word "Congo" in there name are one nation.

Vatican City doesn't exist. The Pope resides in Jerusalem.

Yemen is a lot larger, up to Mecca. Saudi Arabia is smaller, and owns most of what in OTL is the eastern part of Saudi Arabia.

Israel is completely peaceful.

Now for some more odder stuff...

The Islands of the coral sea are nuclear wastelands.

Taiwan is a completely undeveloped place where China sends criminals to fend for themselves and (eventually) die.

Haiti has recently invaded the Dominican Republic, and the United States of North America are thinking about aiding the Dominicans.

So, figure all this out.

Spain allied with France during the revolution and recaptured Gibraltar.

Nappy forced the low countries to unite and put them under some relative and after he was disposed they managed to stay together.

America joined the war against the Franco-Spanish Alliance and took Mexico.

Because of a harder war and decreased resources, Britain treats Australia and New Zealand as one colony and they grow together.

To pay off war debts to America, Britain sells Canada to the US. Because of all the new States, slavery is ended in the 1850's with compensation to slave owners and a resettlement of Blacks into the West. Race relations are fine by the 1890's. Over time America focuses its attention to the Caribbean and installs democratic traditions there. Hispaniola benefits with large trade surplus with America (sugar is cheaper there).

In the Crimean War, France and "North-Eastern France" ally with Russia. Britain beats them and when Africa is divided up the OTL French and Belgium colonies in Central Africa all go to Britain with the rest to America, Prussia, Sweden and Portugal. In the East, the Ottomans are beaten without British support, the empire collapses, and Constantinople is taken, the Baltic countries are formed up and go to war with each other, Greece and Bulgaria are the big winners at the expense of Serbia.

With the holy land free from Ottoman rule, Christian refugees from France and the Balkans flood the area with thousands of Italians fleeing the conflicts there. 3/4ths of the total are Catholic and in a few years OTL Israel is mostly Catholic with a substantial Orthodox minority (this leads to a reunification with some Orthodox churches). Israel is peaceful because most Arabs were forced to convert.

With the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, Yemeni traders claim the holy cities with Saudi Arabia to eventually form decades later.

Italian unification happens but Rome is looted so the Pope later takes up temporary residence in Jerusalem, he likes it so much that he decided to stay.

WWI is mostly German v. Russia which loses and later the Russian Revolution splits the country up on que but to stop the communists America takes Siberia and eventually frees it. Britain ensures the Black Sea area and Germany restores the tsar for the rest of Russia on the condition that he doesn't retake the rest.

As for later...

America starts the bomb project in full earnest as the Axis Powers (France, Spain, Northern Italy, Japan, and North-Eastern France) declare war on Germany and Britain. With the full resources of the Continent and with its unified people, the Bomb is ready by the time the Battle of the Coral Sea takes place. (I know its fast but give me a break) With the Japanese fleet gone a few months later Japan fizzles under 30 or so nukes on its largest cities and military bases. France suffers a similar fate later on and the other Axis powers get the message and surrender. (Sorry had to add that, I hate France)

Since communism was crushed early on, China turns fully Nationalist (very corrupt) and the few communists that are left go to Taiwan.

Haiti recently had a coup (hmmmm?) and as a fairly developed country felt the island wasn't big enough for two countries. America still has friendly relations with the Dominican Republic and is still deciding whether or not to send troops.
