I assume your comment means that the yellow areas are separate from one another, not part of the same imperium

China is interersting, ruling directly over a lot that they in OTL had a vague suzerainty over, eg Khokand, but reaching far further Westwards without the expected lands further North

Interesting state in Central/Eastern Europe, I assume its some kind of Holy Roman Empire that actually encapsulates the Habsburg lands as integral parts of it

I'll take a shot.

Europe:
1. Great Britain
2. Franco-Spain - the nations became united under the Bourbons. Italy is still a multitude of minor states owing their allegiance to the King in Paris. Portugal was completely annexed in the Great War of 1805-1815.
3. The Austro-Prussian Empire (Gross Deutschland) the unification of the Habsburg and Hohenzollern lines have permitted the establishment of a great supranational power in Central Europe. Founded 1848.
4. Scandinavia - victorious in its long wars against Russia it dominates the Baltic.
5. Russia - Peter the Great never came to the throne and Russia languished for years under ineffective rulers until the late 1700s. Predominately Oriental in its outlook the Great Bear is only now opening itself to Western ideas.
6. The Ottoman Empire - still dominates the Balkans and Asia Minor. Still controls Moldavia and the Crimean Peninsula.

North America
1. The Dominion of North America - stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from Alaska to the Rio Grande, this great land nation has recently received self-governance within the British Commonwealth.
2. The Dominion of Acadia - Composed of territory formerly of Franco-Spanish North America it has been governed seperately from London, rather than from Georgetown, DNA.
3. Imperial Mexico - formerly New Spain, but given its independence by the Treaty of Vienna that ended the Great War. A Habsburg prince sits upon its throne.
4. The Protectorate of Hispanola & Cuba - islands held in trust by the Dominion of North America.

South America
1. Gran Colombia (grey) - Bolivar's experiment in nation building succeeds.
2. Empire of Brazil (blue) - where the Braganza's have found home after fleeing from Portugal.
3. Dominon of Argentina - Britain's former South American holding seized by the Duke of Wellington's successful campaign across the Pampas and the Andes.
4. Franco-Spanish Guyana - what remains of the Franco-Spanish empire in the New World.

Africa
1. Franco-Spain's Greater Algeria
2. Dominion of South Africa (grey)
3. Empire of Abyssinia (light green)
4. Dominion of Egypt (hot pink) - Mohammed Ali and his successors rule this quickly modernizing lands of North Africa as Khedives of Egypt, answerable to Empress-Queen-Sultana Alexandra Victoria. Dominates much of North Africa and the Arabian Peninsual.
5. The Austrian Congo (dull green)
6. The United States of Liberia (burgundy?) - started off in the 1800s as an experiment of resettling blacks from British North America in Africa. Became a major West African power by the 1860s.

Asia and Oceania
1. The Persia Empire (dull green)
2. The Dominion of India (dark blue) Home rule granted in the 1860s - no Great Mutiny.
3. The Kingdom of Siam (red)
4. Imperial China (yellow) - dominates both Mongolia, Tibet and various Central Asian states.
5. The Philippines (brown?) - loosely ruled by Franco-Spain.
6. The Dutch East India (light green)
7. Japan (burgundy?) - recently defeated China in the war over Korea and access to the Amur River.
8. Dominion of Australasia (blue) - British territories recently given home rule.

Is there a different colour for Long Island?
