Alternate Great War

It always amused me how the countries allied themselves for the first world war. The Kaiser just like Napoleon managed to get most of Europe allied against him. Who had the turn of the century could have imagined Britain allied with France and Russia. So I propose a Great War with alliances that were a little more historicly correct. I know for it to be the Great War some partners i can't change but I have tried with others and the PODs for them. More to come ...

Quadruple Alliance

Austria-Hungary gives the Tyrol to Italy before the war.
France is ruder about their quarrel with Italy in Tunisia.
The Ottomans let Libya go with Egypt and the Dodecanese with Greece, so Italy doesn't fight them earlier.

The Germans, Austro-Hungarians, and Turks do better in the first part of the war and Italy joins the winners. This makes the French and British realise that they may lose the war and they fight defensively without those attacks that killed off their soldiers so effectively. The war lasts longer. Germany leaves more of it's adult male population in the fields so they don't run so short of food.
