Polynesian Japan/Indonesia etc.

How could it be possible, that parts of these countries are colonized by Polynesians ?

Polynesian Japan? I think that'd require an ASB POD.

Indonesia is a large country with many cultures and ethnic groups, I am sure you could make some of the eastern islands Polynesian, but the west (Borneo, Sumatra etc) are all firmly Austronesian from 500 BC onward.

For Polynesian Japan you need very early POD. There is theory that Polynesians are originally from Taiwan. Perhaps they decide move to Japan instead South East Asia/Pacific. But I don't know how this would work.

Polynesian Indonesia is pretty difficult. It has been always very multi-ethnic area. Some islands might be Polynesian anyway.

Indonesia and the Phillipines were first settled by humans as long ago as 70,000 years, and have been continuously inhabited since then. Agricultural societies in the region date back 12,000 years. Civilizations at least 3000 years.

The Polynesian culture is less than 1500 years old.

Also, Polynesians had a tiny population, relatively speaking, and were not technologically superior. (Aside from boat building and navigation - but those don't win land wars). Heck, by the time they're 'Polynesians' (rather than 'Austronesians', say), they're on metal-less atolls.

So. Ja. This is ASB. Sorry.
